In the historic village of Santar, the House of the Counts of Santar and Magalhães stands as a living testament to the family's heritage and legacy. The guided tour takes you through spaces full of character and memory, such as the Vestment Room, the Sacristy, the Chapel of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Model Room, the Coach Room, the Zagão (a traditional building), and the Old Kitchen.
In the Model Room, the Santar Vila Jardim project, conceived by landscape architect Fernando Caruncho, reveals a new way to discover the village: getting to know it through its gardens. The experience extends through the project's various green spaces – the Garden of the Santar and Magalhães House, the Garden of the Magnólia House, the Linhares Garden – Santar and Magalhães, the Garden of the Linhares House – Ibérico Nogueira and the Garden of the Valverde Santar Hotel & Spa – in a celebration of the history, art and natural beauty of Santar.
